Halloween 2009

I just wanted to give a small update. I have been sick for 3 weeks with something the doctor's couldn't even figure out. I finally had a series of shots and now I feel good and I was finally all better the day before Halloween. Sam has survived as well. We had a full day for Halloween, we started at 9:00am at the Red Robin Halloween Party. Stockton and Makenna were kissed a million times. A couple of the waitresses always want to babysit Makenna, they always fuss over her. They also call Stockton "Little Sam", Stockton knew what he wanted right when he got there, French Fries...They loved it, but I think Sam loved seeing his kids more.

Then we went with Grandma Longhurst to a Pumpkin walk, where they had tons of displays made of pumpkins. The kids saw their favorite characters like Sponge Bob, Shrek, and tons more there. It was really amazing what people can come up with. After that we went home and I cooked up some Taco Soup for our Ward Halloween dinner and trunk or treat. Sam got home and we dashed out the door to the dinner. Stockton had a hard time keeping on his mask, he got so tired of it, he just decided to take off his whole outfit there. I had to bribe him with candy to put it back on. He sure was the first in line for trunk-or-treating. That is when the light turn on that they were actually asking for candy. They were really excited. Stockton pick up Trick-or-Treat really good!

After that we had a full night of Trick-or-Treating door to door with Grandma and Grandpa Longhurst. It sure was fun! The kid lasted alot longer then we thought they would. We even went to a home that had a toy store for all the kids to pick their favorite toy, IT WAS AMAZING! The line was huge, but kids would come out with Barbies, Trucks, it was crazy. Makenna got a Riding Horse and Stockton got a goodie bag with a Bear, Crayons, Crayon book, and bumble gum machine. My dad and I waiting in line with the kids, it was the most amazing/crazy thing I have ever seen before. It was like being a kid all over again this year. That will be our first house we hit for now every year! The good thing now, the kids forgot about their candy and it's all hidden. So, I give it for rewards throughout the day and they aren't eating it all at once! What a great age....
